How we handle your information
Effective 12 October 2026
Pewter does not ask for, collect or store your business's records through this website. We collect only the contact and business details you choose to send us, plus basic, cookie-free visit statistics. We share your details with a licensing partner only after you agree to it, and we never sell personal information.
1. Who we are
This website, pewterdata.com, is run by Buzzlead.io LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as Pewter Labs ("Pewter", "we", "us"), 7885 Boca Ciega Drive, Suite B, St. Pete Beach, FL 33706, USA. Pewter is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
2. What we collect
| Where | What |
|---|---|
| Offer request form and quote chat | Your name, email, phone and firm name; employee count, years in business, industry and business status; the systems your records are kept in; your payout estimate; any notes you add. |
| Booking a call | Your name, email and chosen time, collected by our scheduling provider, Calendly, under its own privacy policy. |
| Partner program signup | Your name, email, phone, firm, website, type of practice, the size of your network and any notes. We assign you a referral code. |
| Partner referrals | When a partner introduces a business, the partner gives us the owner's name, email, phone (optional) and basic details about the firm. Partners must have the owner's agreement before doing so. |
| Emails and calls | What you tell us when you write to us or speak with us. |
| Visiting the site | Visit statistics from Vercel Web Analytics: pages viewed, the referring site, approximate country, device and browser type. It uses no cookies and does not identify you. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and request time, for security and troubleshooting. |
Please don't send us your business's records, client files or anyone's sensitive personal information through the site. We don't need them at this stage.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your request, call you, and prepare a realistic estimate and offer.
- To run the partner program: track introductions, keep partners updated on the referrals they made, and calculate and pay commission.
- To run our business: keep records of requests and deals, prevent spam and abuse, and improve the site.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
For visitors in the UK and European Economic Area, we rely on these legal bases: your consent (for sharing your details with a licensing partner); taking steps at your request before entering a contract; our legitimate interests in running and improving our business and contacting businesses about relevant services; and legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
- A licensing partner, only with the consent you give when you submit a request, so it can prepare an offer for your firm. The licensing partner handles any later transaction under its own agreement with you.
- The partner who introduced you, if one did. We tell them how your conversation is progressing (for example, that a call was booked or a deal closed) and the commission due. We don't share your deal terms or records with them.
- Service providers who run our operations, each only for that purpose: Vercel (website hosting and analytics), Resend (email delivery), Google Workspace (email), Notion (our deal and partner records), Slack (internal team alerts) and Calendly (call scheduling).
- Authorities or advisers when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, and a buyer of our business if it is sold.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Business outreach
We contact owners and leaders of established businesses by email about licensing their records. For this we use business contact details (name, job title, work email, company and company details) from commercial business-data providers and public sources. Every email tells you how to opt out, and replying to say you'd rather not hear from us is enough. Once you opt out, we stop and keep only what we need to make sure you aren't contacted again.
6. Cookies and browser storage
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't use third-party tracking pixels. The site stores a few small items in your own browser:
- A partner referral code, for up to 90 days, if you arrived through a partner's link, so the right partner gets credit.
- Your partner code and email on the partner pages, so you don't have to retype them.
- A note that you've already seen the "Get a quote" prompt, for the current visit only.
You can clear these at any time in your browser settings; the site works without them. The Calendly booking window may set its own cookies, which are governed by Calendly's policy.
7. How long we keep it
We keep request and lead details for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless a deal is in progress or completed. Partner records and anything tied to a completed deal or commission are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and then for 7 years, for tax and accounting. Opt-out records are kept so we can honor them. We delete or anonymize information when it's no longer needed.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to: tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy; correct it; delete it; stop using it for outreach; and stop sharing it with a licensing partner. You can withdraw consent at any time. This doesn't affect sharing that already took place.
California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don't sell or share it in that sense, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights. An authorized agent may make a request for you.
UK and EEA residents also have rights to restrict or object to processing and to data portability. You can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office), though we'd appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
To make a request, email privacy@pewterdata.com. We'll confirm your identity, respond within 30 days, and won't charge you.
9. International visitors
We are based in the United States, and our service providers store information in the US. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be transferred there. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum, offered by our providers.
10. Security
The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to our records is limited to the people who need it, and our providers secure their systems to industry standards. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe your information has been exposed, contact us right away.
11. Children
This site is for business owners and professionals. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes
We'll update this policy when our practices change, and the date at the top will show the latest version. For significant changes, we'll also note it on this page.
